The King George III Video Review
Feb 15, 2013 12:00:00 PM
The King George III has a track record of being quite possibly the highest performance light wind kite board on the market today. Not only is it perfect for all riders in light wind but it also excels in freestyle performance for heavier riders. With exceptional range and outstanding light wind performance, there's no question why this board has continued in the line-up for three years solid.
The Street Video Review

The Street brings smooth performance to freestyle and wakestyle riders. Capable of riding in mostly all conditions, the Street's added rocker allows for a comfortable smooth ride. Don't let this board's ease of use fool you, the tail ends remain wide and can easily be used to create explosive pop.
Supershinn II Video Review

The Supershinn II is a high performance freestyle design with the comfort and control that you would expect from all Shinn boards. After bursting onto the scene last year the New Supershinn refines what it's predecessor started. Not just for the accomplished freestyler; this ride offers accessible performance in the harshest conditions and buttery perfection alike.

Shinn - Supershinn Kiteboard Review
Jun 18, 2012 1:20:58 AM

I've had about a dozen sessions on it now. I mainly ride with Boots on my boards as I like the locked in feel and comfort. However I've spent most of my sessions with the straps/pads on them because they are sweet! Memory Foam in the heels with nice straps feeling pretty locked it! I've found a new interest in more kiteloops with these pads. No more one footers by accident... At least not as often haha

Okay, I will try to sound like I am being somewhat constructive in my critique of the Shinn Street 135x41 however, I must tell you it is extremely difficult. I've been waiting for a board that would perform slightly similar to the Monk but would give me much better control while riding in boots and practicing wakestyle. The Street is definitely where it's at!

It’s more than just a Shinn, it’s a SUPERSHINN! The name of the board pretty accurately represents both its appearance and performance on the water.

As I’d come to get to know the Supershinn more, I began to appreciate the subtleties in design and how they affect the performance of the board. The Constant Curve rocker allows easy riding over choppy conditions. There is absolutely 0% spray in my eyes (thumbs up!). The Hydro-Flo tail conduits also allow for riding with smaller fins while still obtaining optimal grip in the water. The conduits also make the board stiffer in the center, which give the board some really nice POP when you stomp it with your back foot.

The Supershinn is a very impressive new board created by Mark Shinn. If you’ve heard nothing about this board yet then you need to pick up the latest Kiteworld magazine and read the five page article about the design of this board. I believe there will also be a few tests in national publications such as Kiteboarding Magazine and SBC Kiteboard Magazine so keep your eyes open. At this point I feel like I’ve had enough time on the water with this board to give my opinion and review this particular model.

Shinn Smash 155 Review
Mar 21, 2012 12:03:57 AM

Kitesurfing in the water can have its downsides when December comes along, and once in a while it’s nice to leave the beach. My third season boarding in Colorado and I finally got to try the new snowboard from Shinn- The Smash 155. Of course many kiteboarders are familiar with Mr. Shinn’s kiteboards but I was eager to know what his boards are like for snow. The Smash isn’t designed especially for snowkiting, but is defined as an “all-mountain” board.

At first glance, the Sneaker S! straps and pads are simplistic in design, yet exquisitely plush and shapely. The strap and pad are integrated, making the installation very easy. Adjusting the strap system is pretty straightforward, utilizing a durable pull-tab, which is then secured by a velcro cover. The velcro is pretty intense but I imagine that helps keep them secure when riding in rough water. The Shinn Sneaker Set has incorporated layers of memory foam into the toe section of the strap, and the heel section of the pad to conform to the rider’s feet after several sessions of kiteboarding with them.

It is pretty rare to find a board that you can feel totally comfortable on the first time you ride it. The Player is that type of board. The straps took me a a little while to get used to but once they started to “sink in” and mold to my foot I felt locked in and ready to ride hard.

Shinn - Capri GT Review
Aug 8, 2011 11:17:00 PM

The Capri GT is an extremely aggressive, fast, direction carve board that creates a whole new experience for your kite session. The first time I took this board out I really had no idea what to expect. It took me a little while to really get comfortable on the Capri but once I figured out its strength and weaknesses, I fell in love with it.

So, I’ve been getting more and more sessions out on the new Shinn Duke. I’ve been favoring the 5’10 a bit so once I get more time on the 5’6 and 6’0 I will need to write another review. I’ve had time on the 5’10 quad fin but I’d rather just write this review based off the session that I had today.
